TITLE: Old Field Creek Hydraulic Dredging Project

BUDGET: $968,000

DATE: August 2020 – December 2020

The Project was located in West Haven at Old Field Creek between Beach Street and Blohm Street and Marshall Street, and seeks to remove accumulated contaminated sediment, restore the ecological bed of Old Field Creek through hydraulic dredging, dewater the sediment over a historical unauthorized disposal area, and cap the dredged sediment in accordance with the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Projection’s Flood Management Certification permit. Work included, but was not limited to traffic control, pollution control, stream channel dewatering, clearing and grubbing, hydraulic dredging, seeding and mulching restoration.
