Project Highlights

Remote Site requiring Installation of Access Bridge and Major Road Construction
Connecticut's First Big Box

Home Depot, North Haven

Formerly, the location of the famous Cedar Hill Railyard of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, this now excellent retail site was a location that could only be accessed by rail. Construction of a bridge and access road into the property allowed for a joint venture by the founders of the “Big Box” shopping phenomena, Sol and Robert Price, along with Kornwasser and Friedman (a prominent shopping center developer from California) that was met with enthusiasm by the Town of North Haven. The Price Club Plaza was the first initiative of this type for Connecticut.
