Michael F. Giordano - President

With a lifetime in the industry, Michael Giordano defines the true meaning of the description “career builder”. As a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Connecticut and a long standing Member of the American Arbitration Association, he provides his associates and business partners insightful assessments of the challenges before them and a unique perspective towards their solution. His experience in the full spectrum of the industry – civil, structural, and financial – brings technical expertise and affordable solutions to the multitude of project types and contract delivery models he has broad knowledge of.  

To ensure that quality, safety, budget and scheduling are not compromised, he provides oversight of all Giordano projects. He actively participates in the Pre-construction Planning believing that it is there that the best interest of clients can be particularly well served. During the Construction Phase, he monitors field operations and assists Project Managers by providing technical and management expertise.

Michael has actively served many organizations as Trustee or Director. Amongst them are the Hospital of Saint Raphael, The Easter Seal/Goodwill organizations, the Connecticut Laborer's Pension Fund, and others. Mike earned a Bacheor of Science majoring in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut and another majoring in finance from Boston College School of Management.

 

Vincent S. Giordano, Jr. - Vice President

Vincent Giordano, Jr. joined the family firm in 1971 having previously served in the Army Corps of Engineers. Vin is steeped in experience and expertise, and is actively involved with all Giordano projects.

As the interlocutor between Giordano's field staff and the needs of the executive level of our client base, he measures the pulse of projects from Pre-construction Planning to Closeout, and is adept at defining and redefining the various components of the management task as the need arises. Vin's expert understanding of means and methods and value engineered solutions have consistently proven invaluable to the success of projects. He leads by example, spending the majority of the work day on site assessing operations first hand and promoting the concept of partnering to manage project safety as well as quality, budget and safety control.

Vin obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor of Science from Boston College. He has been a licensed P7 Plumbing and Piping Limited Contractor and Sub-surface Sewage Installer for three decades. Throughout the course of his career, Vin has volunteered on the behalf of many professional and charitable organizations including the Association of General Contractors of Connecticut (as a past Board Member and President) and Jame Blackstone Memorial Library (as a Board Member and past President).

 

Christopher Malerba - Project Manager

Christopher Malerba demonstrates exceptional leadership abilities time and again. An effective, assiduous Project Manager, Chris is skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. His contribution to constructability analysis, value engineering, budget estimating, and scheduling is invaluable. Chris displays an impressive talent for anticipating construction issues, and rapidly suggesting practical solutions that will avoid compromising projects. Chris fosters his proactive approach among his team as well so that construction proceeds as planned, sites remain safe, and workforce requirements are met or exceeded. His experience and credentials are diverse and encompassing. Chris is a highly regarded member of Giordano's delivery team. Frequently commended for providing accessible and responsive client service, Chris never fails to deliver impeccable project management. Chris obtained his Bachelor of Science majoring in Construction Management from Central Connecticut State University.


Vincent S. Giordano, III - Project Manager

Vin has worked hands on in the construction industry since 1991 as a Laborer, Survey Assistant, Operating Engineer, Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager. He joined Giordano's managerial team in 2000 after earning a B.A. Degree in Political Science with specific emphasis placed on urban development in major U.S. cities. He has extensive experience with every delivery method and project type, but specializes in historic rehabilitation and complex site work. As both a self-performing contractor and construction manager, he hs overseen site infrastructure replacement/ development and utility connects in tight urban settings, fast track concrete work of massive commercial properties, and the development of rugged remote terrain. Vin demonstrates exceptional leadership time and again. An effectual, assiduous Project Manager, he is particularly skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously. His contribution to constructability analysis, value engineering, preparation of budget estimates, and scheduling is invaluable. During the Construction Phase, he expertly adminsters submittal and shop drawings, job meetings, project tracking, and contract close out documentation. Vin consistently displays an impressive talent for anticipating construction issues and rapid provision of practial solutions that avoid compromise of schedule, budget or quality. He fosters a proactive approach among his team so that projects proceed as planned, sites remain safe, and workforce requirements are met or exceeded. His experience and credentials are diverse and encompassing. Vin is a highly regarded member of giordano's delivery team.
